Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (MCQ) has launched a large-scale campaign against unauthorized constructions across the city. During the campaign, authorities have also demolished several encroachments. This action was taken under the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti and the directions of Administrator Quetta Mujeeb Ur Rehman Qambrani, with the aim of strictly enforcing the 2022 building regulations.
The MCQ Anti-Encroachment Cell, led by Dilawar Khan, conducted a comprehensive inspection throughout Quetta, where widespread violations were uncovered. These violations include unauthorized double basements and unapproved maps at several key locations such as Ali Bhai Road, Khudadad Road, Quarry Road Plaza, Masjid Road, and Karimuddin Street.
