Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori today issued a stark declaration on World Architecture Day, stating that incorporating climate change considerations into urban planning is “no longer an option but a necessity,” signaling a major policy emphasis for the province”s future development.
In his special message, the governor highlighted that eco-friendly and sustainable construction has become the urgent need of the time. He asserted that for sustainable progress, the development of modern, safe, and responsible buildings is essential.
Governor Tessori underscored the shared obligation in this endeavor. ‘It is our collective duty to ensure environmental protection in the field of architecture,’ he remarked, calling for a unified effort towards ecological preservation within the building sector.
Reaffirming his commitment, the governor envisioned a renewed province. “We will build a Sindh that beautifully blends environment, culture, and progress,’ he pledged, outlining a future where development does not come at an environmental cost.
He concluded by emphasizing that green infrastructure will form the foundation of Sindh’s bright future, adding that the government is actively promoting initiatives aimed at harmonizing the crucial relationship between the environment and architectural design.
