More than 1300 graduates honored at COMSATS University Convocation

COMSATS University Abbottabad conferred degrees upon more than 1300 scholars during its convocation, where 92 students received medals for exceptional academic performance, while 32 completed their doctorate degrees.

In a joint ceremony for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 sessions held on Monday, the achievements of a total of 1,315 graduates were celebrated. The institution awarded 1283 master’s and bachelor’s degrees and 32 PhD degrees to the successful candidates, marking a significant addition of highly educated individuals to the country’s workforce.

Academic excellence was given special importance at the ceremony, with 92 high-performing individuals being awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals. Among the medal recipients, 35 were from the Fall 2024 session, while 57 were from the Spring 2025 session.

The ceremony was presided over by Rector COMSATS University Islamabad, Professor Dr. Sajid Qamar, who was the chief guest. He was accompanied by the Director of Abbottabad Campus, Professor Dr. Shahid Khattak, directors of various other campuses, and members of the Senate, Syndicate, and Academic Council.

In his address, Professor Dr. Qamar congratulated the graduating students and their families. He praised the administration and faculty of COMSATS for enhancing Pakistan’s reputation globally and acknowledged the university’s contributions in the fields of education and research.

The chief guest described the ceremony as a significant milestone in the students’ lives and expressed hope that the new graduates would utilize their skills and passion to play a key role in the development and prosperity of Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by a large number of faculty members, parents, and other dignitaries.
