The Meteorological Department has predicted severe hot and dry conditions for most parts of the country today. However, rain with thunderstorm is expected in some places, such as Gilgit-Baltistan, upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjacent mountainous regions.
This morning, temperatures varied in major cities. In Islamabad, it was slightly warm at 22 degrees Celsius, while in Lahore, it was slightly higher at 24 degrees Celsius. In Karachi, the temperature reached up to 30 degrees Celsius, and in Peshawar, it was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius. In contrast, Quetta remained cool with a temperature of 19 degrees Celsius. In northern areas like Gilgit and Muzaffarabad, it was 17 degrees Celsius, while the popular hill station Murree was the coolest, recording a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius.
These forecasts indicate that residents in areas where rain is not expected should be prepared for persistent dry and hot conditions. Meanwhile, northern areas may experience variable weather conditions, for which preparation for possible thunderstorms is essential.
Since weather is a significant factor affecting daily life, it is important to stay informed from reliable sources for planning and safety.
