World Statistics Day celebrated in Jhang, awareness walk held under the Bureau of Statistics

Like the rest of the world, World Statistics Day was celebrated in Jhang on Monday, an awareness walk was organized under the Bureau of Statistics. Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar Bhindar on Monday appealed to the citizens, saying that providing accurate data to survey teams is the fundamental basis for the development of any country.

This appeal for public cooperation was made during an awareness walk organized by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics on the occasion of World Statistics Day. The purpose of the rally was to highlight the importance of reliable data in national planning and development.

Leading the event, Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar highlighted that the information collected through official surveys provides the necessary foundation for making effective policies.

The rally started from the Deputy Commissioner Complex and concluded at the District Council. It saw enthusiastic participation from people from various walks of life, including students and members of civil society.

In-charge Statistics Officer Imtiaz Ahmed Gondal, Statistics Officer Imran Ishrat, and Statistics Assistant Jhang Muhammad Javed Iqbal were at the forefront of the walk.

Other participants included Statistics Assistant Shazia Rehman, Statistics Assistant Farhat Jabeen, and other staff members of the Bureau, who participated in this effort to promote statistical literacy.
