During the smog-free Punjab campaign this year, 824 cases have been registered across the province, resulting in the arrest of 775 individuals.
According to a report issued by the Punjab Police on Wednesday, 34 cases were registered and 41 individuals were taken into custody in Lahore during this campaign. During this campaign, heavy fines were imposed on 290,000 smoke-emitting vehicles, while 24,000 vehicles have been impounded to control pollution.
Punjab Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar has emphasized a zero-tolerance policy against violations of smog-related SOPs.
