Police Bolster Vigilance at Major Checkpost in Islamabad Amid Security Push

In a move to reinforce security across the federal capital, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Operations, Qazi Ali Raza, today conducted a visit to the Faizabad checkpost to review existing measures and issue new directives for heightened vigilance.

The inspection was carried out following special instructions from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of a broader initiative to implement effective security protocols throughout the city.

During his visit, SSP Raza met with the police personnel deployed at the crucial entry point. He assessed the ongoing checking process and ordered relevant officials to enhance the checkpoint”s effectiveness to better safeguard the lives and property of residents.

The SSP instructed the on-duty staff to maintain a high state of alertness at all times. He underscored the need for thorough and efficient checks of any suspicious individuals or vehicles, and mandated the immediate reporting of any unusual activities to senior command.

In his address to the personnel, he also stressed the importance of professional conduct, directing officers to interact with the public in a polite and respectful manner. This directive aims to strengthen the bond of trust between law enforcement and the community.

A statement from the Islamabad Capital Police reiterated that the protection of citizens remains its foremost priority, and all security arrangements are being implemented with this primary objective.

Authorities have also called upon the public to play an active role in maintaining security. Residents are urged to cooperate fully with police and to report any questionable persons or activities without delay to the nearest police station or through the dedicated Pucar-15 helpline.
