The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has arranged for the immediate heart surgery of the young girl Zainab, to whose appeal for help in a video that went viral on social media, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi responded directly.
Official sources confirmed on Tuesday that taking notice of the viral clip, the Chief Minister contacted the girl suffering from a serious heart condition.
Later, during a phone call, Zainab directly questioned the Chief Minister about the previous lack of government contact regarding her illness. In response, Chief Minister Afridi apologized to the little patient and assured her of the administration’s full cooperation during her treatment.
After the conversation, the Chief Minister’s office sent a vehicle to bring the girl and issued instructions for her immediate treatment at the Fauji Foundation Hospital. According to reports, the provincial head has personally taken on all the responsibility for her medical treatment.
Zainab’s necessary surgery is scheduled to take place today. In a statement issued on the matter, a prayer has been made for her successful operation and complete recovery.
