Top Cop Orders Tech-Driven Overhaul for Enhanced Security and Public Services

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, today issued special instructions for a significant enhancement of the force”s online systems, aiming to bolster security measures for residents and streamline public service delivery through modern technology.

The directive came during a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office, convened to address digital systems and administrative matters. During the session, the IGP sought implementation reports from senior officers on previously assigned tasks. The meeting was attended by DIG Headquarters Malik Jamil Zafar and officials from the Logistics and Safe City Divisions.

A detailed review was conducted on increasing the police force”s capacity, the effective utilization of available resources, improving logistical support arrangements, and the progress of ongoing special projects.

IGP Rizvi also issued specific directives focused on the welfare of police personnel, ordering the timely provision of necessary facilities to ensure officers can perform their professional duties effectively.

He articulated a vision for elevating the standard of public service through reforms, stating that the use of modern techniques must be ensured to provide maximum facilities to citizens at every forum.

The police chief added that maintaining peace and tranquility in the federal capital, crime prevention, and providing all possible conveniences to the public are among the top priorities of the Islamabad Police.
