Top Officials Laud Flawless Security as Global Arts Festival Sees Overwhelming Turnout

Karachi’s top administrative and police officials have lauded the robust security measures for the ongoing World Culture Festival, an event drawing such immense crowds that organizers have reportedly been forced to close the gates.

According to a report today, during a visit to the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi and CCPO Karachi Javed Alam Odho reviewed the arrangements and praised the festival”s role in establishing peace and projecting a positive image of the metropolis.

Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah informed the officials that the festival, now in its 19th day, features performers from 142 nations and is garnering extensive coverage from both domestic and international media. He credited the Chief Minister of Sindh, the Chief Secretary, and law enforcement agencies for providing “excellent security arrangements” and noted that no adverse incidents have been reported.

“Such cultural festivals in Karachi are highlighting the positive image of the city,” stated Commissioner Naqvi. He affirmed the Sindh government”s support for the Arts Council and pointed to the high public interest as a key indicator of the event”s success, which he attributed to the efforts of President Ahmed Shah.

CCPO Odho described the festival as a source of pride that helps restore the “Colors of the city.” He acknowledged the contributions of the Sindh Police, Special Branch, SSU, and Traffic Police, and commended Shah as a “one-man army” whose dedication has been instrumental.

The police chief emphasized the broader impact of such occasions on civic stability. “There are great efforts behind the law and order situation in the city. Such cultural festivals are playing an important role in establishing peace,” Odho remarked, commending the organizers for uniting diverse segments of society.
