Ubauro police in Ghotki district on Wednesday arrested a key suspect wanted in a double murder case, which came as a result of an intensified ongoing operation against fugitives and criminals under the direction of SSP Ghotki Muhammad Anwar Khetran.
SHO Ubauro Police Station Rafiq Ahmed Soomro and his team, during a routine patrol on a tip-off, arrested Abdul Sattar son of Mohib Pahniyar, a resident of Bagh Pahniyar village. Sattar was wanted in Case No. 209/2025 for the heinous crime of murder under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code, accused of killing his sister Amna and brother-in-law Dadan Pahniyar over a family dispute.
The arrest gained further significance when an unlicensed pistol and three bullets, suspected to be the murder weapon, were recovered from Sattar’s possession. Following his apprehension, authorities registered a new case, No. 212/2025, against him under Section 25 of the Sindh Arms Act, further tightening the legal noose around him.
Spokesperson: According to Ghotki Police, SSP Khetran praised the police team for their swift action, commending their dedication and effectiveness, and highlighting the ongoing efforts to curb crime in the area. This arrest is a significant step towards securing justice for the victims of this tragic family conflict.
