Patient wait times for crucial procedures are set to be significantly reduced at Ayub Medical Complex after its Gastroenterology Ward underwent a major technological revitalization, effectively ending previous delays in diagnostics and treatment.
The facility’s capacity has been substantially bolstered with the addition of three new endoscopy machines and the complete repair of five older units. This enhancement was officially inaugurated on Thursday by Member Board of Governors (BOG), Prof. Dr. Alam Zeb Manan, who noted the new apparatus would greatly improve service delivery for the community.
During the inauguration, Head of the Gastro Department, Prof. Dr. Adil Naseer, briefed the hospital administration on the ward’s readiness. He confirmed to Hospital Director Dr. Sajjad Afridi and Medical Director Prof. Saqib Malik that the new endoscopy system is fully operational, allowing the department to function at its maximum potential. The officials were also given a demonstration of the newly integrated fiber and scan systems.
Prof. Dr. Alam Zeb Manan commended the hospital management for its proactive efforts in modernizing machinery across various departments. He reaffirmed the institution’s unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare services for the people of the region.
