Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has underscored the pivotal role of the nation”s burgeoning technology sector in strengthening bilateral relations, urging a new generation of entrepreneurs to act as conduits for enhanced cooperation.
The Ambassador’s remarks came during an interaction today with a visiting group of emerging Pakistani business leaders participating in the Professional Fellows Program on Economic Empowerment 2025.
The cohort, with expertise spanning Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and various aspects of modern business management, updated the envoy on their professional experiences in Oklahoma, including engagements with their American counterparts.
Congratulating the fellows on their selection for the esteemed program, Ambassador Sheikh pointed to a current upswing in Pakistan-US relations. He highlighted significant complementarities and prospects for collaboration, particularly in the new economy and IT domains.
He identified a combination of factors creating a formula for a mutually beneficial partnership: the substantial demand within the US market, Pakistan’s large pool of tech-savvy youth, and the country”s competitive advantages in cost and quality.
In his concluding advice, Sheikh encouraged the participants to leverage the exposure gained during their US visit to fortify Pakistan-US ties. He called on them to maintain and expand their professional networks, increase awareness upon their return home, and proactively create new avenues for bilateral cooperation.
