Protest continues on 11th day for restoration of dilapidated taluka hospital in Nasirabad

The protest by the Citizens Alliance for the restoration of the dilapidated taluka hospital in Nasirabad continued for the 11th day on Sunday.

A large number of citizens and social activists are continuously participating in the protest camp set up by the Citizen Alliance in front of the basic health center, demanding the complete restoration of the hospital. The participants are highlighting the constant absence of doctors and the severe shortage of essential medicines.

Led by Citizen Alliance leaders Comrade Singhar Noonari, Zamir Maghiri, Nangar Channa, and Yasin Phulpoto, the protestors explained the severe impact on the community. They emphasized that the dilapidated condition of Nasirabad’s only major hospital forces poor patients from remote areas to travel to other cities even for the treatment of minor ailments, and this journey sometimes proves fatal.

The organizers stressed that their struggle is not against any political party but is a movement for basic human rights and access to proper health facilities. Leader of the Nari Jamhoori Mahaz (Women’s Democratic Front), Comrade Fouzia, also participated in the demonstration, who registered her protest by singing a resistance song.

The leaders of the movement, holding the provincial health department and local administration responsible for the crisis, announced that if immediate steps are not taken to resolve the public health issues, they will intensify their protest.
