Governor of Sindh Nihal Hashmi held a key discussion on national importance, parliamentary affairs, and the development of Sindh in a meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at the Parliament House today. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and advancing parliamentary traditions.
Federal Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry were among the important participants, along with National Assembly members Ejaz Hussain Jakhrani and Abdul Qadir Patel. The dialogue focused on enhancing cooperation and aligning efforts for sustainable development in the province.
In a separate meeting, Governor Hashmi hosted the German Ambassador at the Sindh Governor House in Islamabad. Their discussion focused on strengthening Pakistan-Germany relations, particularly in trade, investment, and education. The Governor highlighted ample investment opportunities in Sindh for German partners and advocated for further enhancement of economic and trade relations. Both parties recognized the importance of promoting public, educational, and cultural relations between the two countries. The German Ambassador expressed deep interest in enhancing cooperation in various sectors.
Additionally, Governor Hashmi met with Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad. The discussion revolved around legislative matters, the federal budget, and the national economy. Pakistan’s constructive role in regional peace and stability was acknowledged, with emphasis on the importance of institutional cooperation to safeguard national interests and economic strength. The federal budget was recognized as a significant step towards public welfare and economic development, with a shared commitment to translating Pakistan’s regional achievements into tangible benefits for its citizens.
