The regional ombudsman’s team, after a surprise inspection of Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital on Monday, issued directives to the administration to improve the operational system and enhance the standard of patient care.
This supervisory visit was led by Director Ombudsman for Hub Region, Zafar Iqbal Khan, accompanied by Assistant Director Sajid Baloch, Huzoor Bakhsh, and other officials.
The delegation conducted a detailed tour of the medical facility, inspecting patient wards, the emergency room, the availability of medicine stocks, and the overall cleanliness situation.
During the on-the-spot assessment, the ombudsman’s officials engaged in direct conversation with the hospital’s Medical Superintendent (MS), doctors, and other staff present.
The hospital staff was explicitly instructed to ensure the institution remains fully functional and provides the highest standard of care. The directive emphasized that all possible measures should be taken to reform and improve the hospital’s overall system.
