hotki, December 18, 2025 (PPI)The Ghotki Sessions Court has sentenced three individuals to life imprisonment after finding them guilty in a murder case, and ordered them to pay heavy financial compensation to the victim’s family.
This verdict was announced today by the Additional Sessions Judge, Ghotki, in Sessions Case No. 23/2023, which was related to an FIR registered in 2022 at the BSection Police Station.
The court found Kifayatullah son of Obaidullah Kohnaro, Abdus Salam son of Muhammad Sadiq Kohnaro, and Saeed Ahmed son of Zahid Hussain Mirani guilty of the murder of Waqas Ahmed son of Azad Khan Korai.
The life sentences were handed down as Ta’zir under Section 302(b) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The verdict clarified that in case of nonpayment, this amount will be recovered as land revenue.
After the verdict, the court issued sentence warrants and ordered the three individuals to be immediately transferred to the Central Jail and Correctional Facility, Sukkur.
