A woman forcibly abducted from the Tarkana Barmi Gali area after her husband and another relative were tied with ropes has been safely recovered today by local law enforcement agencies.
According to official sources, the incident occurred on Sunday, December 14, when the wife of Muhammad Maroof was abducted at approximately 2 PM. During the abduction, the assailants allegedly tied up her husband and his brother, Tanveer.
Authorities have identified the main accused as Faizullah son of Abdul Rashid and Abdul Rashid son of Faizullah, both residents of Rerh, Mansehra. The kidnappers, accompanied by other unidentified accomplices, allegedly used a Mehran car to transport the victim from the scene.
Acting on the report, personnel from Bakot police station launched an operation that resulted in the safe recovery of the victim from Muzaffarabad. Following the successful recovery, a formal case has been registered against the named accused.
This is the second major success for the Bakot police station within a week, under the leadership of Station House Officer (SHO) Sardar Nazuk Mehmood. His team also recently succeeded in recovering another missing girl from Punjab, which reportedly earned praise from the local community.
