Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho has announced a zero-tolerance policy against firing during New Year and other celebrations, and warned that individuals involved in aerial firing during the New Year and other festivities will be prosecuted under attempted murder laws.

In a formal directive issued on Monday, Additional Inspector General Karachi Javed Alam Odho has ordered all Zonal DIGs to take indiscriminate and strict legal action against violators. The instructions emphasize ensuring the immediate arrest of any person found involved in this prohibited activity.
