Pakistan has unequivocally stated at the United Nations that there is no military solution to the ongoing conflict in Sudan, insisting that a political settlement is the only viable route to lasting peace.
Addressing the Security Council Meeting on the Situation in Sudan, Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Usman Jadoon, stressed that the only durable path forward lies in political dialogue and reconciliation, according to an official information today.
The Pakistani envoy affirmed his country’s support for all authentic efforts and political processes designed to secure an immediate cessation of hostilities.
He articulated Pakistan”s backing for initiatives that guarantee a ceasefire, safeguard civilians, allow for unfettered humanitarian access, and foster a peaceful political transition that truly reflects the aspirations of the Sudanese populace.
