A 30-year-old man was injured by firing from unknown assailants upon resisting a robbery attempt in the Gulshan-e-Maymar area on Monday.
According to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Gulshan-e-Maymar, the victim has been identified as approximately 36 to 37-year-old Riaz, son of Allah Bakhsh.
The incident occurred near Ghani Abad when armed suspects attempted to deprive the citizen of his valuables. Upon resistance by Riaz, the suspects opened fire, injuring him.
After the attack, the injured person was transferred to ASH for immediate medical attention.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter and the search for the suspects involved in the attack is underway.
