A journalist and a young man lost their lives in two separate traffic accidents on the National Highway on Tuesday, with drivers fleeing after hitting them in both incidents.
The first tragedy occurred on the Metiani Bypass within the limits of the Naushahro Feroze police station. Journalist Majid Tagar was riding his motorcycle when he was hit and killed by a speeding Vigo vehicle.
The driver of the Vigo initially fled the scene. However, authorities later arrested the suspect from the Jamshoro Toll Plaza.
The second fatal accident occurred near Kahi Qasim, where a speeding passenger coach collided with another motorcycle. As a result of the collision, three individuals, identified as Didar Ali, Saddam Jiskani, and Saifullah Malik, were severely injured.
According to the police, the coach driver fled the scene along with the passenger vehicle. After receiving initial medical aid, the injured were transferred to a hospital in Nawabshah for further treatment.
Tragically, Saifullah Malik later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. After the completion of necessary procedures, his body was handed over to his heirs, and a wave of grief swept through his home upon its arrival.
