District Police Badin’s annual performance report, one crore worth of drugs seized, 1,790 individuals arrested

According to the annual performance report, District Police Badin seized drugs worth one crore rupees during the year 2025 and arrested 1,790 individuals in drug-related crimes. As a result of these extensive operations, 1,303 drug cases were registered across the district.

A spokesperson, detailing the recovered drugs, said today that they included three and a half maunds of charas, 8.2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (ice), and 36 grams of heroin. The seized items also included 52 kilograms of bhang, 86,470 liters of local liquor, and 864 maunds of the prohibited items gutka and safina.

The annual report attributed these successes to an integrated strategy implemented across all 15 police stations in the district, including the CIA police. Reportedly, these operations were carried out on the directives of the Sindh government and senior police officials, targeting drug traffickers, organized criminal gangs, and proclaimed offenders. In addition to the drug-related arrests, law enforcement agencies also detained 27 dangerous accused.

In separate operations against illegal weapons, authorities took 107 suspects into custody. These operations resulted in the seizure of a large cache of arms, including 119 illegal pistols, 13 guns, eight repeaters, and 1,200 rounds of ammunition.

The police report also highlighted the recovery of stolen property. A total of 312 valuable mobile phones were traced and returned to their rightful owners. Furthermore, 73 accused were arrested in other cases, leading to the recovery of 42 lakh rupees.
