PPP MPA visits Mirpurkhas Khasak Pura Bazar, listens to problems, assures resolution

After nearly four decades of neglect, the shopkeepers and residents of Khasak Pura Bazar have been assured by local authorities that their dilapidated roads will finally be constructed, addressing long-standing public grievances over crumbling infrastructure and poor sanitation.

This assurance was given by Pakistan Peoples Party’s Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Hari Ram Kishori Lal during his visit on Sunday, who, accompanied by Union Council (UC) Chairman Haji Muhammad Ali, Sahibzada Hasnain Rajput, and Councillor Naeem Qureshi, visited the commercial area upon a special invitation from the community.

Upon arrival, the local population and traders gave a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, presenting them with traditional Sindhi Ajraks as a mark of respect.

Speaking to media representatives, MPA Hari Ram Kishori Lal expressed gratitude for the love shown by the people of Mirpurkhas. He announced that the construction of the bazaar’s roads would begin soon and affirmed that resolving the community’s issues is a top priority. He commented, “The sincerity and love of the Khas Pura Bazar shopkeepers are unforgettable for me.”

Traders shared their long-standing frustration with reporters, stating that the roads of Khas Pura Bazar have never been constructed since its establishment nearly 40 years ago. They described the current condition of the thoroughfares as beyond repair. A shopkeeper said, “We are thankful to the UC chairman who listened to our problem in a single meeting and got the work started the very next day.”

On this occasion, a hotel owner highlighted a serious sanitation issue at the main intersection, complaining to the MPA that the area has turned into a garbage dump. The resident reported that the non-collection of waste is causing foul odors and increasing the risk of diseases. Mr. Lal listened to the complaint and assured the citizen that this issue would also be resolved promptly.

UC Chairman Haji Muhammad Ali confirmed to the media that he has informed the MPA about the public issues in the bazaar. He reiterated the MPA’s “clear promise” for road construction and expressed hope that the project would be completed as soon as possible to provide relief to the public.

The visit concluded with enthusiastic slogans from the participants, such as “Slogan of Bhutto, Long Live Bhutto,” “Long Live Hari Ram Kishori Lal,” and “Long Live Haji Muhammad Ali.”
