Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday directed authorities to ensure timely and seamless preparations for the 9th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference on Women, which Pakistan is set to host in 2026.
Chairing a high-level committee meeting in the capital, Mr Dar issued instructions to finalise all arrangements, logistical details, and the agenda for thematic sessions for the significant international gathering.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the need for smooth organisation and called for close coordination between the relevant government ministries and the OIC Secretariat to ensure the event’s success.
He highlighted that the upcoming summit reflects Pakistan’s commitment to promoting women’s rights and strengthening their role across social, economic, and political spheres.
