Security protocols for Chinese projects in the capital are being bolstered following a high-level meeting that addressed specific challenges with existing vehicle scanning systems and overall safety arrangements.
The dialogue was convened by SSP Security Capt. (retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider, acting on special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and included a delegation representing Chinese ventures in the city, said a report by the Capital Police on Friday.
During the session, the Chinese representatives delivered a detailed briefing on the vehicle scanning technology currently installed at project sites. The presentation covered the system”s operational effectiveness, current procedures, and outlined specific difficulties being encountered.
Following the briefing, participants tabled various suggestions aimed at augmenting the existing security standards for the initiatives.
SSP Haider affirmed that the protection of Chinese projects is a paramount concern for law enforcement. He emphasised that the security framework will be further strengthened through the strategic implementation of modern technology.
The security official also remarked that improved safety outcomes are achievable through enhanced mutual cooperation and a consistent exchange of information between all parties.
Discussions also centred on a future course of action, which includes measures to upgrade the vehicle scanning system and to further refine overarching security protocols.
All attendees at the convening expressed a shared resolve to ensure the safety of the projects is made even more robust through continued joint efforts.
