Key Institutions Renamed in Honour of Martyred Major

The Government of Balochistan has officially renamed the Khoratabad Police Station and the Government TB Sanatorium School in Quetta to honour Shaheed Major Anwar Kakar, following a directive from the province’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

In a formal statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat today, Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasised the enduring legacy of fallen heroes. ‘Martyrs are our national heroes; their name, sacrifice, and character should always live on,’ he affirmed.

The Chief Minister described paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for national security as a primary responsibility of the state and its administration. He provided assurance that the families of martyrs would not be left unsupported, noting that the government has already undertaken responsibility for the higher education of their children.

Mr Bugti attributed the nation’s progress towards peace and stability to the sacrifices of courageous individuals like Shaheed Major Anwar Kakar.

Describing their sacrifices as a bright chapter in our history, the Chief Minister highlighted the critical importance of educating the new generation about the struggles and contributions of these national heroes.
