The local gold market saw another sharp increase in prices on Tuesday, with the per tola price of 24 karat gold rising by Rs 4,300 to a new high of Rs 493,662.
This significant increase in prices was also seen in different karats and weights. The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 3,686 to Rs 423,235. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold increased by Rs 3,379 and the new price was recorded at Rs 387,979.
This rising trend in prices in the local market reflects the international market, where the price of gold closed at $4,713 after an increase of $43.
Silver prices also followed the bullish trend in the precious metals market. The per tola price of 24 karat silver increased by Rs 87 to Rs 9,869.
Furthermore, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver increased by Rs 75, bringing its value to Rs 8,461. Internationally, the price of silver also recorded an increase of $0.87, reaching $93.94.
