Karachi witnessed intense firing incidents on Wednesday, resulting in one person dead and several injured in various areas. The most severe incident occurred in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, where a 55-year-old man was killed and another person was injured, the reasons for which are still unknown.
In Gulistan-e-Jauhar, near Block 11, Eram Apartments, Muhammad Wajid, age 55 years, son of Muhammad Yahya, succumbed to his injuries. Muhammad Bashir, age 60 years, son of Khan Muhammad, was also injured in the same incident. Both the injured and the deceased were shifted to the hospital, and the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police of District East initiated further investigations.
Additionally, an exchange of fire took place between law enforcement personnel and armed dacoits near Nisar Nursery on Sparco Road. Following the exchange of fire, two alleged dacoits were apprehended in an injured condition, while their accomplice managed to escape from the scene. Mobina Town Police recovered two pistols, ammunition, and a vehicle, and their investigations are ongoing.
Earlier in Surjani Sector 7D, Junaid, age 26 years, son of M. Azam, was injured by a gunshot during a personal dispute near Masjid Al-Mustafa. The injured person was taken to the hospital, and Surjani Police of District West are further investigating the matter.
In another incident in Surjani Town, Khuda Ki Basti, Tanveer, age 36 years, son of Javed, was injured by a gunshot due to unknown reasons near the riverbank. He was later taken to the hospital. Surjani Police of District West continue to investigate this firing incident.
Finally, Samiullah, age 45 years, son of Wilayat Khan, was injured by a stray bullet near Plot No. F-44, Sher Shah Estate Avenue Road, near Honda Company. He was shifted to ASH for medical treatment. Site B Police are further investigating this incident.
