Pakistan’s IT Sector Achieves Record-Breaking Export Growth

Pakistan’s information technology sector has registered a significant 20 percent increase in its overseas earnings, with exports reaching an unprecedented 2.24 billion dollars in the first half of the current fiscal year.

This robust performance marks a substantial rise when compared to the corresponding period in the preceding year, according to a report by MOIB today.

The data further reveals that the sector’s performance in December of the previous year was particularly strong, setting a new monthly benchmark.

During that month, technology-related exports surpassed the 437 million dollar mark for the first time, contributing substantially to the half-year total and underscoring a notable expansion in the nation’s IT service shipments.
