A high-level Pakistani parliamentary delegation, spearheaded by National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has commenced a three-day official visit to China, aiming to fortify inter-parliamentary cooperation and enhance the strategic partnership between the two nations.
According to an official report on Tuesday, the official trip is being undertaken following a special invitation from Zhao Leji, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China.
Upon their arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, Speaker Sadiq and the accompanying delegates were formally greeted by Aizaz Khan, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Pakistan, alongside senior Chinese functionaries.
The itinerary for the visit includes significant meetings with China”s senior leadership. The Pakistani contingent is scheduled to hold discussions with Chairman Zhao Leji and also with Wang Huning, the Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
Discussions during these high-level engagements are set to centre on strategies for further strengthening parliamentary collaboration and deepening the comprehensive bilateral relationship between the allied countries.
