In the gold market on Wednesday, the price of 24-carat gold saw a substantial increase of Rs 12,700, after which the per tola price reached a new highest level of Rs 506,362.
This significant trend of increase in the prices of the precious metal was also consistent across other measures.
The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold, after a major increase of Rs 10,888, reached a new level of Rs 434,123.
Similarly, the value of 10 grams of 22-carat gold increased by Rs 9,981, and its price closed at Rs 397,960.
This increase in the local market was a reflection of global market trends, where the international price of gold increased by $127 to reach $4,840.
In the silver market too, a price increase was recorded, however, this increase was minor. The per tola price of 24-carat silver increased by Rs 64 to Rs 9,933.
The price of 10 grams of 24-carat silver increased by Rs 54, bringing its new value to Rs 8,515. In the international market, the price of silver closed at $94.58 after a minor increase of $0.64.
