Pakistan Seeks to Bolster Rice Exports to Key Philippine Market

Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and the Ambassador of the Philippines, Dr Emmanuel R Fernandez, have convened to discuss strategies for significantly expanding Pakistan”s rice shipments to the lucrative Philippine market.

During the discussion today, the Commerce Minister emphasized that Pakistan is experiencing a robust agricultural output, while adhering to standards in terms of the quality of its production.

He stated that the government has specifically identified the Philippines as a pivotal partner country for the planned augmentation of its rice exports.

The Filipino Ambassador, Dr Fernandez, affirmed Pakistan”s established and significant role in his country”s food supply, recognising its longstanding position as one of the top three rice suppliers to the Philippines.
