Business and Finance – Pakistan Mounts Record-Breaking Delegation to Target Global Food Market at Dubai Summit

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is spearheading the nation’s most substantial-ever presence at Gulfood 2026, facilitating a delegation of 67 companies in a major strategic push to expand its share of the global agro and food market.

According to a report on Sunday, the five-day exhibition, recognised as a premier global food and beverage trade event, will take place from 26th to 30th January at the Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai Expo City. Pakistan”s official representation will be spread across four specialised pavilions covering Rice, Pulses and Grains, World Food, Beverages, and Meat and Poultry, complemented by a large contingent of independent Pakistani enterprises.

Exhibitors from Pakistan are set to display a wide-ranging portfolio of high-quality agricultural and value-added goods. The offerings include premium Basmati rice, various cereals, meat products, honey, pink salt, and fresh horticultural produce, alongside processed foods, frozen items, spices, dairy products, and herbal goods.

Beyond commercial activities, Pakistan aims to engage visitors through culinary diplomacy. A key attraction will be the Pakistan Biryani Festival, designed to offer attendees a direct experience of the aroma and quality of the nation”s rice. Additionally, live masterclasses under the “Taste of the World – Gulfood 2026 (Pakistan)” banner will feature chefs using authentic Pakistani ingredients to demonstrate the country”s rich culinary traditions and growing capacity within the global hospitality sector.

On a strategic level, TDAP will contribute to critical industry conversations through a panel discussion on “Global Futuristic View and Smart Agri-Food Systems”. Mr Athar Hussain Khokhar, Director General of TDAP”s Agro and Food Division, is scheduled to speak on Pakistan”s agricultural advantages, the incorporation of artificial intelligence in food production, and the significant effects of climate change on sustainability.

To foster concrete business outcomes, TDAP, in collaboration with the Trade Section of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, will organise a Pakistan-UAE Business Conference. A dedicated B2B Networking Dinner will also be held to connect the Pakistani delegation with international buyers and distributors, aiming to enhance the country”s export potential.

Throughout the Dubai event, TDAP will also be promoting its own forthcoming flagship exhibition, FoodAg 2026, reinforcing its long-term strategy to establish Pakistan as a dependable global source for premium food products.
