Islamabad: Zong, a prominent information services and technology company in Pakistan, has reaffirmed its commitment to digital education by extending its partnership with Knowledge Platform. The collaboration, now in its fourth year, was officially renewed at a ceremony at Zong's headquarters.
According to Zong Pakistan, the partnership aims to continue expanding the Digital Scholars Program, an initiative that seeks to bridge educational divides through technology. The program targets Grades 9 and 10 students in underserved communities, introducing digital classrooms, gamified content, and AI-powered analytics. By the end of 2025, the program had enrolled 35,000 students, involved 5,000 young women in digital literacy, and certified 7,500 students. The initiative plans to reach an additional 10,000 students by 2026.
The program has reached 300 schools across 42 cities in five provinces, offering online tutoring in math and a self-study program covering multiple subjects, alongside digital learning games and competitions. Zong has also trained 150 teachers in digital instruction, enhancing technology integration and student engagement in classrooms.
Andleeb Aslam, a spokesperson for Zong, stated that the company's focus on sustainability involves using technology to foster social and economic progress. The Digital Scholars Program is a testament to this commitment, providing students and educators with digital tools and skills for future challenges.
The initiative highlights Zong's dedication to expanding educational access and empowering individuals through digital innovation, contributing to Pakistan's development.
