Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government should fulfill its constitutional responsibility of maintaining peace: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to fulfill its constitutional responsibility of maintaining law and order, and also stressed that the federal and provincial authorities should continue joint efforts for the complete elimination of terrorism.

During a meeting with the province’s Chief Minister, Sohail Afridi, the Prime Minister promised federal cooperation for development initiatives within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that this assistance would be in accordance with the federal jurisdiction and would be centered on creating new opportunities in infrastructure, education, health, and employment.

The Prime Minister reiterated the federal government’s commitment to the welfare of the region’s people. He emphasized that national objectives, including unity, stability, and prosperity, can be effectively achieved through mutual consultation and collaborative partnership between the central and provincial administrations.
