Canadian companies are exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan’s developing market, with a particular focus on the livestock, agriculture, and other significant industries.
This was communicated by Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Tarik Ali Khan, during a meeting with the Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, in the capital on Tuesday.
The High Commissioner expressed his government’s keen interest in augmenting bilateral trade between the two nations. The discussion centred on matters of mutual interest and reinforcing the partnership.
On his part, Minister Abdul Aleem Khan emphasised that Pakistan is actively involving the private sector to increase production across various industries.
He provided the envoy with updates on major infrastructure undertakings, including the Karachi-Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway and the Sialkot-Islamabad Motorway.
The minister also highlighted that the Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway, which has been planned as a six-lane thoroughfare, is now being opened for investment.
