Abdullah Shah Ashabi’s Urs begins, local holiday announced in Thatta district

On the occasion of the 387th annual Urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ashabi, all judicial and government affairs will remain suspended throughout Thatta district. Following the official announcement of a local holiday on Wednesday, this comprehensive closure will affect the Sessions Court, all subordinate courts, and various government institutions.

The formal directive for the judicial closure was issued by District and Sessions Judge, Ms. Mushtari Khanum. The notification clarified that the approval for the holiday was granted by the Sindh High Court upon the recommendation of the Deputy Commissioner.

Similarly, Deputy Commissioner Thatta, Sarmad Ali Bhagat, has also confirmed a public holiday for all government departments across the district in commemoration of the revered saint’s Urs, ensuring a unified holiday.
