The price of gold in the local gold market saw a significant increase on Saturday, with the per tola price of 24 karat gold rising by a remarkable Rs 11,700 to Rs 519,462.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold saw a major increase of Rs 10,030, bringing its new price to Rs 445,354. The price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold also increased substantially by Rs 9,195, and its new value became Rs 408,256.
This upward trend in prices in the local market is a reflection of global developments, where the international price of gold closed at US$ 4,967 after an increase of US$ 117.
The silver market was also not immune to this bullish trend, and a significant increase was recorded in its value as well. The per tola price of 24 karat silver closed at Rs 8,269 after an increase of Rs 444.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver increased by Rs 381 and it became Rs 7,089. In the international markets, the price of silver also increased by US$ 4.44 and settled at US$ 77.94.
