Two suspected car-lifters were taken into custody in an injured condition after a dramatic exchange of fire with the police on Tariq Road on Tuesday, while their third accomplice managed to escape.
According to PRO East Information, the arrested individuals, who were injured in the exchange of fire with law enforcement agencies, have been identified as Shozeb Raza and Tanveer Ahmed.
Authorities confirmed that one of their accomplices fled the scene during the encounter. A search operation has been launched to find the escaped suspect.
Following the exchange of fire, authorities recovered two pistols with ammunition and several mobile phones from the possession of the arrested suspects.
The Ferozabad Police Station has registered a case regarding the incident, and a formal investigation is underway to ascertain further details.
