The families of two laborers who were tragically killed in a boiler explosion at a local sugar mill were paid a hefty sum of one crore rupees each on Wednesday.
The deceased laborers were identified as Akmal Hussain and Haseeb-ur-Rehman. The fatal incident occurred at Shakarganj Sugar Mills.
Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar Bhindar presented the financial aid cheques to the bereaved families.
It is pertinent to mention that this hefty amount is being provided in addition to a separate, pre-existing compensation package for the victims.
