Intense anger over non-arrest of triple murder suspects, national highway blocked with bodies

Traffic on the National Highway near Sakrand was severely disrupted on Tuesday when grieving families blocked the main thoroughfare with the bodies of three victims, demanding the arrest of the killers.

The protest is being held following the brutal murder of three members of the Bhand community, allegedly over a land dispute. Despite more than 15 hours passing since the incident, the nominated accused remain at large.

The protesters have announced they will continue their sit-in indefinitely, stating that they will not perform the last rites of their loved ones until the authorities arrest the alleged attackers.

The situation has caused severe hardship for commuters, with long queues of vehicles forming on the main highway.

The local police’s apparent failure to track down the suspects has further fueled public anger, and the Bhand community is adamant they will not end their demonstration until justice is served.
