Police on Sunday detained a man in the Chakiwara area of Lyari for the alleged sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl.
Law enforcement officials have identified the suspect as Muhammad Sharif.
Following the arrest, a formal case has been registered against the suspect.
The case is now proceeding through the legal system, and officials have indicated that further judicial proceedings will continue.
