The local gold market witnessed a significant increase in the price of gold on Tuesday, with the per tola price of 24 karat gold seeing a major increase of Rs 3,400.
After this sharp increase, the new price of one tola of 24 karat gold reached Rs 539,962, a notable increase for the precious metal in a single day.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 2,915, settling at Rs 462,930. The price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold also rose by Rs 2,672 to reach Rs 424,367.
A similar upward trend was also seen in the silver market. The per tola price of 24 karat silver increased by Rs 192, with the new price becoming Rs 9,286.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver increased by Rs 165, and the price at the end of the day stood at Rs 7,961.
These changes in local prices reflect the movements in the global commodities market, where the international price of gold increased by $34 to become $5,172.
Similarly, the value of silver also increased internationally, and its price became $88.02 after an increase of $1.92.
