Inspector General (IG) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has ordered to intensify the crackdown against criminal elements across the district under a comprehensive strategy to make security more effective during the holy month of Ramadan.
This directive was issued today during a high-level meeting chaired by the IG, in which the existing security protocols and the traffic management plan for Ramadan were reviewed in detail.
In his instructions, IG Rizvi emphasized the need to further enhance the safety and convenience of the public. To achieve these objectives, he directed increased patrolling, implementation of snap checking, and maximum use of technology.
To ensure the effectiveness of these measures, senior officers have been tasked to personally visit key public gathering spots, including mosques for Fajr and Taraweeh prayers and Ramadan bazaars, to supervise and improve operational duties.
