An alleged robber was taken into custody in an injured condition on Tuesday after an intense exchange of fire between officers of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU/CIA) and alleged members of the Hammad Militia Wala gang.
Authorities have identified the arrested suspect as Tanzeel Ansari. After the exchange of fire, law enforcement personnel recovered a pistol with bullets and a motorcycle from the scene.
The suspect Ansari was later moved to a medical center for treatment of his injuries. The police has initiated further investigation into the incident.
