Rawalpindi’s Traffic Police have provided licensing services to more than 67,300 individuals this month during an uninterrupted service campaign in the holy month of Ramadan, issuing over 13,500 new driving licenses.
CPO Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani and CTO Farhan Aslam stated today that all licensing centers in the Rawalpindi district are fully operational for the public throughout Ramadan.
In a spirit of hospitality, the traffic police are also providing Iftar meals to citizens present at the licensing facilities at the time of Iftar.
Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam described the citizens present at Iftar time as “guests of Allah,” stating that serving them is a “matter of pride.” He reiterated that the primary goal is to provide driving licenses to citizens on merit and with dignity.
He clarified that any Pakistani citizen holding their original identity card is eligible to receive services at any center in the district.
A fast-track process has also been implemented for motorcyclists, whereby learner’s permits are being issued on the same day without any delay.
The authorities emphasized that possessing a valid license is a sign of confident and responsible driving.
