A brutal attack on a residence in the Kech district of Balochistan on Wednesday left six people dead, among them women and children, while three others sustained injuries.
According to police sources, the incident unfolded in the Buleda Meinaz area when unidentified armed men opened fire on a house and launched a mortar shell. The perpetrators escaped the vicinity immediately following the assault.
Upon receiving information, security forces promptly arrived at the location, establishing a cordon around the area. The deceased and the injured were transferred to a nearby medical facility.
Authorities have identified the deceased as Muslim, son of Charshambe; Mulla Yousuf, son of Muhammad Sharif; Fazila, wife of Abdul Ghaffar; Gul Naz, daughter of Abdul Ghaffar; Changez, son of Abdul Ghaffar; and Zahra, daughter of Abdul Ghaffar.
The injured individuals were named as Abdul Ghaffar, son of Muhammad; Sara, daughter of Abdul Ghaffar; and Ayesha, daughter of Abdul Ghaffar.
Reports indicate that one of the assailants was killed in retaliatory action by security personnel. A formal investigation into the tragic event is now underway.
