Major Rangers operation in Karachi, operatives of ‘Lada Gang’ involved in multiple robberies arrested

Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) have arrested three alleged members of the notorious “Lada Gang” during an intelligence-based operation in the city. The group is implicated in widespread robberies and a major heist of three million rupees.

Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) announced the arrests of Naeem alias Maula, Shahzeb alias Shah Ji, and Aamir Khan from the Shah Latif Town and Malir areas on Thursday. These individuals are suspected of carrying out numerous armed robberies and street crimes across the city.

A cache of illegal items was recovered during a search of the suspects, including two illegal pistols with ammunition, a stolen motorcycle, mobile phones, and cash. Authorities also recovered a bottle of liquor, two grams of hashish, and a dagger from their possession.

According to the paramilitary force, one of the detainees, Shahzeb alias Shah Ji, is directly involved in a three-million-rupee robbery that occurred outside a K-Electric office. The second suspect, Aamir Khan, has been identified as a habitual offender with a prior criminal record and was identified from CCTV footage of a separate robbery.

The gang was allegedly active in vast areas of the city, including Shah Latif Town, Qaddafi Town, Zafar Town, Pipri, Ali Muhammad Goth, Sindhi Goth, Quaidabad, Model Colony, Rifah-e-Aam Society, and Malir. Their criminal activities reportedly included snatching cash, motorcycles, and mobile phones at gunpoint, as well as trading in illegal weapons.

Authorities have confirmed that raids are being conducted to apprehend the remaining accomplices of the detained suspects.

The three individuals, along with the recovered weapons and stolen goods, have been handed over to the local police for further legal proceedings.

A spokesperson for the Sindh Rangers has appealed to the public to report any information about criminal elements to aid in crime prevention efforts, assuring that the identity of informants will be kept confidential.
