Police Chief Vows Complete Eradication of Drugs and Sustainable Peace in Gwadar

Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Makran Region, Imran Qureshi, today declared the complete eradication of drugs and the establishment of lasting law and order as the police force’s principal objectives for the district.

He made the firm commitment on Thursday while visiting the Gwadar Press Club for a special programme. Mr Qureshi affirmed that all available resources would be mobilised to maintain exemplary peace in the city, stating that no effort would be spared in pursuit of this goal. The event, titled “Hal Ahwal”, was attended by a large number of senior journalists from the district, including Press Club President Noor Mohsin.

The senior police official also highlighted the critical importance of effective communication among the police, the public, and the media in the current era.

He suggested that mutual cooperation and stronger working relationships are essential not only for preventing crime but also for ensuring the timely resolution of public issues.

To conclude the event, the Press Club honoured DIG Qureshi by dressing him in a traditional Balochi shawl and presenting him with a shield of honour.
